PWSA has partnered with Dollar Energy Fund to administer the program, and they will work with PWSA customers to determine eligibility. Approved customers will receive a 50-percent reduction of PWSA’s fixed or minimum monthly water and sewer conveyance charges for one year. Eligible customers may be asked to verify income on an annual basis.
“Since the program opened on January 2, more than 135 eligible customers have contacted Dollar Energy Fund,” stated Chad Quinn, Dollar Energy Fund CEO. “PWSA noticed this considerable need and we are proud to assist them in helping their most vulnerable customers.”
Information about the Bill Discount Program is now available at www.pgh2o.com/CAP, or customers interested in participating in the program can call Dollar Energy Fund at (866) 762-2348.
“It is an honor to provide PWSA customers with this assistance,” stated PWSA Board Chair, Debbie Lestitian. “I feel that this is a long-awaited service for our low-income customers, and our hope is that this program will help them meet the obligations of paying their water and sewer bill.”
All customers are reminded that PWSA offers a variety of options to pay their water bill. It’s always important to pay your bill on time. In addition to mailing your payment, we also offer online bill pay, remote one-time payments, as well as the ability to pay in person at any 7-Eleven or Family Dollar, and at our administrative offices located at 1200 Penn Avenue.
